Henry first learned about Chicago Run a few years ago and the connnection he felt was immediate. He loved the passion surrounding this nonprofit organization and its emphasis on thoughtful impact, collaboration, and equity. He quickly signed up to join the Next Generation Board and has been involved ever since.
In 2021 he ran his first marathon, fundraising on behalf of -- and bringing awareness to -- the mission of Chicago Run: providing students (pre-K through high school) with inclusive running and physical activity programs, empowering young people with equitable access to physical activity, and using running as a catalyst to transform lives. He is runnning again this year to do more of the same ... and maybe even beat his 2021 time!
While not as fleet-footed as her son, Rebecca shares Henry's enthusiasm for the important work that Chicago Run does. She has volunteered at several events and is inspired by the profound impact the organization has on Chicago's youth. She is proud to be training to run her first marathon as part of the Chicago Run Team!
