I'm excited to continue my marathon journey in Chicago supporting this great organization - CHICAGO RUN. My marathoning has always been about audacious goals in support of my own health and the amazing groups connected to these marathons. That I get to run for an impactful organization so dear to the heart of a friend just adds to my desire to get to the start line healthy and see how the day goes.
We'll target 3:50 and hope the weather cooperates so we can give it a shot.
Always a danger to put these goals into the world, but since I started running in 2019 after near 30 year break I've been blessed with great support - your support! I have trust and faith that with you on my team, if I fall short, we will have given it our all and will be better for the effort.
My approach is always to bring my team with me along the way. I'll send notes on training, prep races, learning and motivations on the journey hoping you'll share some of the same back to me. Opt out is certainly okay as well.
