To celebrate (?!) turning 50 this year, I decided to run the Chicago marathon! I have been training, but haven't been public about it, as I feared injury or another obstacle may prevent me from running. But I finished the 20 mile run yesterday (9/21) and I'm now 3 weeks away from the big day! More importantly, I am also running for an incredible charity: Chicago Run. Our family has been involved with Chicago Run since its inception and Brian served on the board for a decade. We have watched Chicago Run grow to serve thousands of young people across Chicago, building pathways to better nutrition and fitness, and using the power of sport to build resilience to stress and trauma, as well as develop social and emotional skills. I hope you will consider supporting Chicago Run (and me)!
